*Centenary Celebration of Chaibasa Railway Station
Chaibasa Railway Station of Chakradharpur Division commemorated its Centenary celebration on today at the station premises with enthusiastic participation from the public. The event was graced by Shri Deepak Birua(MLA,Chaibasa) and Shri Sanjay Chaubey(President, Chamber of Commerce). Shri Tarun Huria(DRM/CKP), along with other senior railway officers and officers from all branches of the Chakradharpur Division, attended the programme.
The celebrations commenced with a Centenary Walkathon in the morning, promoting health awareness. The walkathon witnessed active participation from Railway staff and local residents. A Medical Camp was inaugurated thereafter, during which basic health check-ups and screenings were conducted for passengers and Railway employees.
The programme began with a welcome address, followed by addresses by dignitaries, who highlighted the historical significance and the 100-year journey of Chaibasa Railway Station. A prize distribution ceremony was also held. As part of the celebrations, a ceremonial cake cutting, balloon release, and a photo exhibition showcasing the station’s rich heritage were organized. The programme was further enriched by a cultural presentation by the Divisional Cultural Academy.
The event reaffirmed Indian Railways’ legacy of service and its strong bond with the people of the region.
