Adamas Howrah Warriors stun Rashmi Medinipur Wizards by 5 wickets in Bengal Pro T20 League

Riding on a superb batting display, Adamas Howrah Warriors stunned Rashmi Medinipur Wizards by 5 wickets in the Bengal Pro T20 League at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.

The star performers for Adamas Howrah Warriors were Saksham Chaudhary (5-10), Pramod Chandila (46 not out off 42), impact-sub Pankaj Shaw (36 not out off 19) and Sujit Kumar Yadav (2-20).

Enroute his quick-fire knock, Pramod hit three boundaries and two sixes while Pankaj struck three sixes and two boundaries.

With Adamas Howrah Warriors struggling at 69/5 in a tricky chase, the duo of Pramod and Pankaj unleashed the counter-attacking mode and added a superb unbeaten 66-run partnership off just 39 balls to take their team to a brilliant victory.

For Rashmi Medinipur Wizards, Vivek Singh (34), Kaushik Maity (32), Vaibhav Yadav (2-16) impressed.

Earlier, batting first, Rashmi Medinipur Wizards managed to post 132 in 20 overs. Wriddhiman Saha failed to make an impact once again after being dismissed without scoring.

A one-handed blinder by Howrah Warriors’ Abhisek Das could well be a strong contender for the catch of the tournament.

Chasing the target, despite losing early wickets, skipper Anustup Majumdar (30) kept his cool to add crucial runs in the middle.

After his dismissal, Pramod and Pankaj took the team over the line with a match-winning partnership.
