जमशेदपुर महिला विश्वविद्यालय में विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस 2026 का उत्साहपूर्वक आयोजन
जमशेदपुर महिला विश्वविद्यालय के स्नातकोत्तर अर्थशास्त्र विभाग द्वारा विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस 2026 का आयोजन विश्वविद्यालय की गतिशील एवं सम्मानित कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) इला कुमार के मार्गदर्शन एवं संरक्षण में बड़े उत्साह के साथ किया गया।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ हुआ, जो ज्ञान एवं प्रबुद्धता का प्रतीक है। इसके पश्चात माननीय कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) एला कुमार ने अपने प्रेरणादायी उद्घाटन संबोधन में विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए जनसंख्या से जुड़ी चुनौतियों के समाधान हेतु जन-जागरूकता, शिक्षा, सतत विकास, लैंगिक समानता तथा उत्तरदायी नागरिकता की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को एक समावेशी एवं सतत समाज के निर्माण में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
इस अवसर पर विद्यार्थियों में जागरूकता बढ़ाने तथा उनकी रचनात्मक एवं बौद्धिक प्रतिभा को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से पावरपॉइंट प्रस्तुति प्रतियोगिता, वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता तथा पोस्टर निर्माण प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतिभागियों ने जनसंख्या वृद्धि, सतत विकास एवं समाज के भविष्य से जुड़े विभिन्न विषयों पर अपने ज्ञान, विश्लेषणात्मक क्षमता, रचनात्मकता एवं नवाचारी विचारों का प्रभावशाली प्रदर्शन किया।

इस कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय के शिक्षकगण, शोधार्थियों एवं विद्यार्थियों की उत्साहपूर्ण सहभागिता रही, जिसने विश्वविद्यालय की शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता एवं सामाजिक जागरूकता के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को प्रतिबिंबित किया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में विजेताओं एवं प्रतिभागियों को पुरस्कार एवं सहभागिता प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया गया। यह आयोजन अत्यंत सफल रहा तथा युवाओं को जनसंख्या संबंधी वैश्विक चुनौतियों के प्रति संवेदनशील बनाने और सतत विकास के प्रति उत्तरदायी नागरिक बनने के लिए प्रेरित करने के उद्देश्य को सार्थक रूप से पूर्ण किया। इस अवसर पर शिक्षक, शिक्षकेत्तर बंधु एवं छात्राएं उपस्थित थे Jamshedpur Women’s University celebrated World Population Day 2026 with great enthusiasm through a programme organized by the Postgraduate Department of Economics under the guidance and supervision of the dynamic and esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ela Kumar.
The programme commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge and wisdom. This was followed by an inspiring inaugural address by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ela Kumar, who emphasized the significance of World Population Day and highlighted the need to address population-related challenges through awareness, education, sustainable development, gender equality, and responsible citizenship. She encouraged students to contribute actively towards building a sustainable and inclusive society.
As part of the celebration, a series of engaging competitions were organized to promote awareness and encourage creative expression among students. These included a PowerPoint Presentation Competition, Debate Competition, and Poster Making Competition, where participants showcased their knowledge, analytical skills, creativity, and innovative ideas on themes related to population growth, sustainable development, and the future of society.

The celebration ended on a successful note, reaffirming the University’s dedication to sensitizing young minds towards pressing global issues and inspiring them to become responsible citizens committed to sustainable development.
