The Sports Department, JRD Tata Sports Complex, Tata Steel, successfully organised the ID Carrom Tournament 2026 (Men & Women) from 21st to 24th July 2026, bringing together employees from various Tata Steel units in a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship. The Tournament served as an excellent platform for promoting fitness, recreation, and employee engagement.
ID Carrom Men
The Men’s Tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 16 units, with 32 teams and a total of 105 participants, reflecting the growing popularity of the sport among Tata Steel employees.

– 1st Place: OMQ A
– 2nd Place: General Office B
– 3rd Place: NINL A
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Purnima Mahato, Coach (Archery), Dronacharya and Padma Shri Awardee, and Kripal Singh, Senior Manager, Administration, who congratulated the winners and appreciated the participants for their sporting spirit and dedication.
The Men’s Tournament was conducted smoothly under the supervision of the officials Tilak Ram Sahu, Jaswant Sahu, Ajay Hembram, and Anup Kumar Singh, whose efforts ensured the successful execution of the Tournament.
ID Carrom Women
The Women’s Tournament received an encouraging response with participation from 15 units and a total of 60 participants, highlighting the increasing enthusiasm for indoor sports among women employees.

The Women’s prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports, Capt. Manish Sinha, Head, Event & Training Centre and Neelam Kumari, Senior Manager, Accounts who applauded the participants for their competitive spirit and encouraged them to continue embracing sports as a part of a healthy lifestyle.
The Tournament was efficiently officiated by J. Behera, Jaswant Sahu, A.K. Singh, and Ajay Hembram whose dedicated support contributed to the seamless conduct of the event.
The ID Carrom Tournament 2026 concluded on a successful note, reaffirming Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports, employee wellness, and workplace camaraderie.
