KSMS Hosts University Connect to Empower Future Aspirants

Jamshedpur, July 29: Kerala Samajam Model School, Jamshedpur, in association with Student Outreach, organised a College Guidance and Profile Building Session for students of Grade XI and XII.

Student Outreach is a leading College Guidance and Profile Building platform that works with students from Class VIII through undergraduate studies, helping them explore their interests, understand career pathways, build meaningful profiles and make informed higher education decisions.

The event commenced with a warm welcome and opening address by Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur, Moderator of the Career Guidance Club , who highlighted the importance of informed career planning and encouraged students to make the most of the opportunity.

The session brought together representatives from leading universities across India and international university campuses in India. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with university representatives, understand different courses and admission pathways, and gain greater clarity about the opportunities available after Class XII.

The participating institutions included Alliance University, Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy, Apollo University, Ashoka University, Bennett University, FLAME University, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Sikkim Manipal University, Sister Nivedita University, Vellore Institute of Technology, Whistling Woods International, World University of Design, Yenepoya University, University of York Mumbai Campus, University of Bristol Mumbai Campus, University of Liverpool Bengaluru Campus, Illinois Tech Mumbai Campus, University of Aberdeen Mumbai Campus and Victoria University Delhi NCR.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Rina Banerjee, Principal and Head of the Career Counseling cell. Mr A.L Abraham, Vice Principal, Ms. Sujata Singh,Headmistress, and Mrs. Vrinda Suresh, Registrar graced the occasion and extended their wholehearted support in ensuring the successful conduct of the event.

A key highlight of the programme was the Profile Building Session conducted by Mr Ajay Sharma, Founder Director, Student Outreach. He spoke about the importance of building a well-rounded and authentic student profile, especially for universities that follow a holistic admissions process.

The session encouraged students to look beyond marks and explore their interests, develop skills, take initiative and participate in activities that genuinely reflect who they are. Students were also encouraged to begin thinking early about their academic journey and the experiences they would like to build during their school years.

The programme saw active participation from the students, who engaged with the university representatives and raised questions about courses, admissions and future opportunities.
