Kharagpur Division Conducts Anti-Sabotage Drive Across Key Railway Stations Kharagpur, 20 November 202:
In view of ensuring enhanced safety and security for passengers and railway assets, Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway conducted an intensive Anti-Sabotage Drive today at Santragachi Railway Station (SRC) and its surrounding areas. The drive was jointly carried out by teams of RPF/SRC-G and GRP/SRC, focusing on detecting suspicious objects, unauthorized activities, and ensuring secure movement within the station premises.
In addition to Santragachi, similar coordinated checks were undertaken across multiple important stations of the division, including SHM, PKU, ULB, MCA, KGP, BLS, ROP, MDN, JGM, and other sensitive locations. The teams comprising of RPF, Commercial staff and SMRs of the stations carried out thorough inspections of platforms, circulating areas, foot overbridges, tracks, yards, waiting halls, parking zones, and nearby public spaces.
The primary objective of the drive was to strengthen security preparedness and prevent any potential sabotage attempts. Officers and personnel used metal detectors, sniffer dogs, surveillance systems, and physical verification to ensure a comprehensive check of the premises.
