Jamshedpur, August 2, 2026: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur organised the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” awareness programme under the aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS) on Sunday. The programme featured the live telecast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on “Nasha Mukt Yuva – Viksit Bharat 2047”, reinforcing the national commitment towards building a drug-free and developed India.
The programme commenced with the assembly of students from various hostels, followed by the Nasha Mukt Yuva Rally from the hostel area to the Main Building. Faculty members, officers, staff, and students joined the rally from the Main Building Portico before proceeding to DJLHC-212, where they attended the live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. R. V. Sharma, Director In-Charge, and Prof. Saroj Kumar Sarangi, Dean (Students’ Welfare). Prof. Dilip Kumar, Dean (Faculty Welfare), ensured the active participation of faculty members, while Prof. Satish Kumar, Dean (Research & Consultancy), was also present during the programme. A large number of faculty members, officers, staff, NSS volunteers, and students participated enthusiastically.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. R. V. Sharma emphasized that the youth are the driving force behind the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and that remaining free from drugs is essential for building a healthy and prosperous nation. Prof. Saroj Kumar Sarangi urged students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and become ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign in society.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Jayendra Kumar, NSS Coordinator, who ensured the smooth conduct of the rally and the live telecast. The participants took a collective pledge to stay away from drugs and contribute towards the vision of a Drug-Free India and Viksit Bharat 2047. The programme concluded with High Tea for all participants.

एनआईटी जमशेदपुर में “नशा मुक्त युवा – विकसित भारत” जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन
जमशेदपुर, 2 अगस्त 2026: राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (एनआईटी) जमशेदपुर में राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (एनएसएस) के तत्वावधान में “नशा मुक्त युवा – विकसित भारत” जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के “नशा मुक्त युवा – विकसित भारत 2047” विषय पर संबोधन का डीजेएलएचसी-212 में सजीव प्रसारण किया गया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य युवाओं को नशे के दुष्प्रभावों के प्रति जागरूक करते हुए विकसित भारत के निर्माण में उनकी सक्रिय भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करना था।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ छात्र-छात्राओं के एकत्रीकरण के साथ हुआ। इसके पश्चात छात्रावास परिसर से मुख्य भवन तक “नशा मुक्त युवा रैली” निकाली गई। मुख्य भवन प्रांगण से संस्थान के निदेशक (प्रभारी) प्रो. आर. वी. शर्मा, डीन (छात्र कल्याण) प्रो. सरोज कुमार सारंगी, डीन (संकाय कल्याण) प्रो. दिलीप कुमार, डीन (अनुसंधान एवं परामर्श) प्रो. सतीश कुमार, संकाय सदस्यों, अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों तथा बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थियों ने रैली में सहभागिता की। इसके उपरांत सभी प्रतिभागी डीजेएलएचसी-212 पहुँचे, जहाँ उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री के प्रेरणादायी संबोधन का सजीव प्रसारण देखा।
इस अवसर पर प्रो. आर. वी. शर्मा ने कहा कि विकसित भारत के निर्माण में युवाओं की भूमिका अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है तथा नशामुक्त जीवन स्वस्थ एवं समृद्ध राष्ट्र की आधारशिला है। प्रो. सरोज कुमार सारंगी ने विद्यार्थियों से नशे से दूर रहने तथा समाज में नशामुक्ति का संदेश प्रसारित करने का आह्वान किया। प्रो. दिलीप कुमार ने संकाय सदस्यों की सक्रिय सहभागिता सुनिश्चित की, जबकि प्रो. सतीश कुमार, डीन (अनुसंधान एवं परामर्श), कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहे।
कार्यक्रम का सफल समन्वयन एनएसएस समन्वयक डॉ. जयेंद्र कुमार द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर बड़ी संख्या में संकाय सदस्य, अधिकारी, कर्मचारी, एनएसएस स्वयंसेवक एवं विद्यार्थियों ने नशे से दूर रहने तथा “नशा मुक्त भारत – विकसित भारत 2047” के निर्माण में सक्रिय योगदान देने का सामूहिक संकल्प लिया। कार्यक्रम का समापन सभी प्रतिभागियों के लिए आयोजित अल्पाहार (हाई टी) के साथ हुआ।
